Archival Oils are superior to traditional oils because they have the ability to flex, which prevents the build up of tension between the layers of paint and the substrate. Archival Oils, together with a number of the leading traditional artist's oil paints, were tested by the independent Australian Government Analytical Testing Laboratories.
